Wallabies vs All Blacks fixture in dire straits

Covid-19 regulations have put the Rugby Championship in jeopardy after Western Australia announced that the All Blacks will be required to isolate for 14 days after entering Australia.

The minor Covid outbreak in New Zealand has changed their status from ‘very low risk’ to ‘low risk’, which has prompted the Australian authorities to implement isolation strategies.

The All blacks are set to leave New Zealand shores for Perth on Sunday but it is yet unclear whether they will be granted an exemption.

"We are not sure,'' said West Australian Premier Mark McGowan, speaking to the New Zealand Herald.

"Maybe we have to work out some arrangement, or there may be a bubble, or they just have comply with the rules that exist for everybody else.

"It's a moving situation and it would be disappointing for rugby fans if we are forced to cancel the game, but that is the nature of the world we live in."
