Hailing from the Lewisham area of London, Mercey is a dynamic tighthead prop who began his professional career at Saracens having attended the illustrious Dulwich College. A graduate of Birkbeck, University of London, Mercey began playing for Saracens in 2005 and after 5 years at the club, moved to Northampton Saints. A representative at various underage levels for England, Mercey has also turned out for the Saxons side.
