Lee Allen was picked for the 2014 Highlanders Wider Training group after only two seasons in the ITM cup playing for Otago. Throughout those two seasons he earned a healthy 11 caps and became a regular in the number 7 jersey. Allen is an athletic and energetic openside flanker with a strong defensive game and good technique at the breakdown.
