Superb defence by Perth Spirit paved the way to a 20-16 victory over NSW Country Eagles securing the NRC title. Perth led 12-8 at the break and crossed early in the second half to extend the lead. It was all NSW thereafter, but brilliant defence and work at he breakdown proved key for the visitors. NSW did cross with 5 minutes to go to make it a four point game, but it was too little too late as Perth held on for the win.
