Gerard has spent his rugby career at London Irish. He joined the academy as a 14 year old and earned his first call up to the senior squad in the 2015/16 season, scoring 2 tries.
He is more than capable of playing wither at flank or in the hooking position.
In July 2017, Ellis was recruited to the Dragons from London Irish. The 24-year-old is a former back row player and is Welsh qualified.
