The 6"7 lock has reprensented Argentina since u20 level and got his reward with a call up to Los Pumas when they took on Uruguay. Lavanini made his Rugby Championship debut against South Africa, in a 22-17 defeat. Lavanini was called up for the Argentina squad for the 2014 Rugby Championship.
