A strong ball carrier Apisai Naqalevu represented the Suva Police team that won the 2012 Digicel Cup in Fiji.
Along with his duties as a policeman, Naqalevu has made appearances for the Fiji Warriors in the Pacific Rugby Cup.
His form with the Fiji Warriors earned him a call up to the Fiji 7s squad for the 2014 Gold Coast 7s, where he made his debut on the 7s circuit.
The following year he signed a two-year deal with Pro D2 side Dax for the 2015/16 season.
Naqalevu signed a deal with Bordeaux Begles in December 2016 that would see him join the Top14 side during the 2016/17 season.
He spent two seasons with the club before signing a deal to join Clermont ahead of the 2018/19 season.
