Son of French politician Jean Lassalle, Thibault showed early signs of talent as he represented France at under 18 & under 19 levels.
He broke into the Agen senior side in 2006 and went on to make over 40 appearances winning one Pro D2 title before leaving the club to join Oyonnax in 2012.
He spent three years at the club making over 60 appearances and caught the eye of French giants Toulon who signed the powerful second-rower ahead of the 2015/16 season.
He only spent one season at Toulon before joining Castres.
He helped Castres qualify for the Top 14 playoffs in his first season at the club and will look to build on his solid start to his time with Castres during the 2017/18 season.
Lassalle was a regular in the Castres squad making 32 appearances in the TOP14 over his two seasons at the club and took his Champions Cup cap tally 26 before he signed a deal to return to Oyonnax ahead of the 2019/20 season.
