Watch: Aaron Smith's brilliance sets up two tries for the Highlanders
- 2239
The Highlanders have defeated the Melbourne Rebels 42-27 at Leichhardt Oval in Western Sydney.
Aaron Smith was pivotal once again for the Landers as he set up two second-half tries and almost scored in the final minute of the game to secure the bonus point but was just short.
Smith assisted the first try of the game in the early knockings. The All Black scrumhalf stood at first five from the lineout and received the ball from a dummy driving maul.
He perfectly placed a kick into the Rebels 22 that found grass and Collins was on hand to finish the try.

For the second, The Highlanders turned the ball over and Smith fed Jona Nareki who danced through a pair of Rebels defenders in the middle of the park.
He offloaded to Ethan de Groot, who managed to get a pass away to Smith. The halfback produced a brilliant offload as he almost instantaneously slipped the ball to hooker Liam Coltman.
A phase later and the ball was shifted wide to Sio Tomkinson who stepped past Marika Koroibete for the score.
How about the hands from Aaron Smith 🙌
