GAME OVER: A close encounter ends with a win for the home side. Glasgow deserved winners in the end but at a cost with the amount of injuries incurred. The subs played a big role in changing the game and scoring the try with the half backs, Cusitier and Jackson playing a pivotal role once they came on. Cardiff will be disappointed with their performance tonight. Their backs lacked cohesion in attack and failed to create much with ball in hand. The weather played its role tonight forcing errors from both sides. The new scrum laws will certainly be a talking point with both sets of front rows falling foul to the new rules.
Cardiff on the attack here late on and looking dangerous
The scrum collapses and Cardiff are penalised. Glasgow get off the hook and clear their lines.
No try awarded. But Vernon yellow carded as the ref goes back for a penalty to the away side. Cardiff opt for the scrum just 5 metres out.
Ref goes up to the TMO again to check a Cardiff grounding.
One piece of inspiration, cusitor and Jackson have made a huge difference
PENALTY GLASGOW: Jackson puts his side further ahead as he converts the penalty as a result of Cook's yellow card for a professional foul.
TRY GLASGOW: An immediate response for Glasgow after going behind. Tommy Seymour shows excellent pace and good feet to run over untouched for the first try of the game. Sub outhalf Ru Jackson makes the difficult conversion after just coming on.
No leadership or direction in the Glasgow ranks
DROP GOAL CARDIFF: Patchell puts his side ahead with a superb drop goal from long range.
