Robertson made his Waikato Rugby Union debut in 2016 and earned three appearances off the bench in Mitre 10 Cup competition.
He tackled the biggest challenge of his career when he left New Zealand to join Japanese club Tokyo Gas for the 2017-18 season on a one-year deal.
In 2020 he was included in Counties Manukau's squad for the 2020 Mitrre 10 Cup season.
