A dominant, physical presence at 6’8” tall already, Lockett was scouted from Colchester Royal Grammar School in 2019.
Originally in Colchester’s football academy, Saints Academy coaches picked up the lock in aged 16 but saw enough potential in the youngster to take Lockett on full-time after just 18 months.
Lockett has also already experienced international honours, representing Wales at under-18 level.
Lock Tom Lockett joined Northampton Saints’ Senior Academy ahead of the 2021/22 season.
