Thomas Gordon, born on January 30, 1997, is a professional rugby union player who plays as a flanker for the Scotland Club XV and Glasgow Warriors.
Gordon began his rugby career with Currie Chieftains, an amateur club. In the 2015-16 season, he secured a place in Stage 2 of the Scottish Rugby Academy, which helped develop his skills and potential.
In the summer of 2018, Gordon joined the Glasgow Warriors after impressing in the Tennent's Premiership with Currie. Although born in New Zealand, he qualifies to represent Scotland through his grandparents. He has been capped at the U20 level and has also represented the Scotland Club XV.
Gordon made his first appearance for the Glasgow Warriors in a pre-season friendly against Harlequins in August 2018, contributing to a 50-17 victory. He earned the man-of-the-match award in his first start at Scotstoun, playing a key role in a 34-10 win over Edinburgh Rugby.
Notably, Gordon has displayed a knack for scoring tries against Leinster, with his first three tries for the club coming against the Irish province. In March 2022, he delivered an outstanding performance against Edinburgh, scoring two tries, including one that capped off a clinical team counter-attack in front of the West Stand.
Gordon received his first call-up to the senior Scotland squad on January 15, 2020, for the 2020 Six Nations Championship, highlighting his progression and recognition at the national level.
