I slow start which lasted well into the 2nd half. Munster have learnt nothing from last week against Glasgow. Slow starts will not do in the expectation that all comes right in the fourth quarter. Those days have gone and the team that mirrors Munster in football - MUFC have recognised that. Munster need to be clinical - cj and p are leading ( I heard them today!) and all around them need to listen. Passing at times was sublime and too fast to be telrgraphed. I feel this is just the start and more is to come but the finishing needs more polish and less penalties to be given away though I suppose the new rules at the breakdown need to bed in. Well done Munster - proud to be a pseudo Munster man originally from Manchester but living for decades in Limerick !!
Penalty Munster at scrum time. Keatley taps and goes before sending the ball into the stands bringing the game to a close. FT at Thomond Park.
Munster manage to hold the ball up in the maul earning themselves the put in to the scrum
Cardiff win the lineout at the back and set their maul to work once more
Penalty Cardiff as Sweetnam strays offside. Evans kicks for the corner
Cardiff win the lineout and look to roll their maul
That’s how it done. 🙌🙌🙌
Ian Keatley is the man of the match
Again Cardiff go close but the ball goes into touch. Lineout Munster
