Hailing from Hoërskool Waterkloof Marnus Schoeman represented South Africa U20 at the 2009 IRB Junior World Championship in Japan.
He went on to represent Tuks in the Varsity Cup and the Bulls in the Vodacom and Currie Cup until 2011.
He signed for the Griquas in 2011 and remained at the side until 2015 when he signed for the Pumas.
He joined the Bulls Super Rugby side on loan for the 2017 season.
Schoeman was included in the Lions for the 2018 Super Rugby season, where he will add to his 1 cap.
He played 42 Super Rugby matches, 53 Currie Cup matches and 43 Vodacom Cup matches in total by May 2021.
He signed for French club Grenoble until the end of the 2022/23 season in May 2021.
