Formerly of the Cornish Pirates, Bearman came to Wales in 2006 to sign for the Newport Gwent Dragons. Bearman’s abrasive style won him many fans at Rodney Parade, where he was named Magners League player of the month in 2008. Bearman gained Welsh residency in 2009, and was on the cusp of selection for the Welsh squad before he sustained an injury which ruled him out for an entire season. Bearman joined the Ospreys in 2011.
The Ospreys forward penned a new one year deal in April 2016. His role of mentor for the young players and his experience around the club while still fighting for a place in the side. Bearman signed for the Ospreys from the Dragons in the summer of 2011 and was a member of the squad that lifted the league title the following season.
In June 2017, Bearman made the surprise move to Merthyr RFC. The Premierhsip club have signed a 38-year-old for the 2017-18 season. Cornish back rower Bearman has spent the last six years at the Ospreys, having previously been with the Dragons for five seasons.
