Walsh was named Principality Premiership Player of the Year and also collected the award for Try of the Season for his effort against Llandovery in March 2014.
He played for Llantwit Fardre from youth to senior level before moving on to represent Llanharan.
He was a member of the team that won the 2010 British Universities Cup while studying at Loughborough and also gained representative honours with Welsh Academicals.
After a spell overseas with the Western Pioneers in the Auckland, he joined Pontypridd in 2012 before moving to Cardiff Blues in July 2014.
