Coming through the Sharks youth system Brian Shabangu represented NMMU Madibaz during the 2013 Varsity Cup.
He made his first class debut for the Border Bulldogs in 2012 and became a regular in the side.
He left the Bulldogs at the end of the 2013 season to join Nelspruit-based side the Pumas.
