A late try saw Griquas claim a 30-25 win over the Cheetahs after they trailed 17-6 at the break. Griquas ran in the first two tries after halftime to hit the front at 20-17. The Cheetahs levelled things up at 20 apiece with a penalty with 10 minutes to play. Soon after a Griquas penalty saw them back in front, but the Cheetahs responded with a try with 5 minutes left on the clock to lead 25-23. The sea-saw battle continued and Griquas would have the final say with a try with 2 minutes remaining securing the victory. The Cheetahs suffer their first loss of their Currie Cup campaign, while Griquas make it two wins in a row.
