The Crusaders take an 18-7 lead over the Hurricanes into halftime. The Crusaders ran in the opening try, but the Hurricanes hit back soon after to level the scores. The Crusaders then crossed for a second try and would finish the first half strongly with two penalties giving them an 11 point advantage at the break.
