Born in London, England, Danaher attended Finchley Catholic High School before moving on to the City University London. A flanker by trade, Danaher joined London Irish in 1999 and made his debut a year later against Gloucester. Danaher has represented the England Saxons side and also turned out for Ireland Under 19 and England Under 21
