Between 2009 and 2011, Nell represented the Western Province U19 and Western Province U21 teams.
He joined Wellington-based side Boland Cavaliers on trial prior to the 2016 season and was named the side's player of the year for 2016.
He signed a deal with the Pumas at the of the 2016 season and will link up with the squad for 2017
