Rock captained Blackrock College to their 67th Leinster Schools Senior Cup Title in 2013. Playing in a team that included Garry Ringrose and Jeremy Loughman. The third year Academy scrum-half has featured prominently for Leinster A over the opening three years of his time with the province, while playing his club rugby for Lansdowne RFC in the UBL.
Charlie was a member of the Ireland U20 JWC squad in 2015. Playing 3 matches and scoring a try against Wales in the tournament. Known as 'Faf' by his friends for his admiration of South African scrum half de Klerk, Rock has a very similiar playing style. Charlie made his Leinster senior debut off the bench in the Pro 12 fixture versus Newport Gwent Dragons in December 2016.
