Stormers lose another forward to the Premiership
Big Stormers loose-forward Juarno Augustus will leave the Cape Town-based franchise and continue his career in the English Premiership with Northampton Saints.
The promising 23-year-old was named as the world’s best U20 player in 2017 and stands to earn £180 000 a year with Saints.
It has been a rough period for the Stormers – particularly as regards their loose-forward stocks – who have recently lost Jaco Coetzee (Bath) and Siya Kolisi (Sharks) while World Cup-winner Bongi Mbonambi and lock JD Schickeling are reportedly also being courted by outside clubs.
Augustus will commence duty with Saints ahead of the 2021/22 European season.
