Queensland Reds centre Hunter Paisami and Highlanders prop Daniel Lienert-Brown have been cited following last weekend's action.
Paisami was picked up by the Citing Commissioner for a tackle in the 30th minute of their 56-36 win at Suncorp Stadium.
The incident happened with the visitors on the attack, with opposite number Lalomilo Lalomilo stepping back inside and going for the try-line, before being collected by Paisami.
At the time, the tackle wasn’t penalised as the TMO believed there were sufficient mitigating factors on account of a significant drop in body height.
However, the Citing Commissioner disagreed, with Paisami to now appear before the Foul Play Review Committee on Monday evening.
The Reds will be nervously awaiting the outcome, with a tough month of games on the horizon.
It starts with a trip to Perth to face the Western Force, who are unbeaten to start the season.
They will follow this with the Crusaders in Christchurch before facing a resurgent Waratahs at Allianz Stadium.
Coach Les Kiss has a number of options, with young gun Dre Pakeho the most likeliest to make his debut if Paisami is out.
The centre started in their matches against Wales and Tonga last July, along with being used heavily in their Japan tour.
Luckless Red Isaac Henry is still recovering from a ruptured patella tendon during his side's win over Melbourne Rebels last March.
Kiss could also move Josh Flook into inside centre, allowing Frankie Goldsbrough to come in.
Highlanders prop Daniel Lienert-Brown has also been cited following his red card in the win over the Blues.
Lienert-Brown was red carded with 20 minutes to go for a dangerous clean-out in the eight point victory.
The incident was upgraded to a red on the field, with the hosts somehow holding on after having to drop another player due to injuries in their front-row.
It's a brutal blow for the Highlanders, who lost Ethan de Groot and Saula Ma’u during the game to due injury.
