Keven Mealamu Rested

Keven Mealamu will miss the Blues' opening game against the Chiefs and the trip to South Africa, facing the Stormers and Cheetahs. This will move 1 test All Black James Parsons into the starting line up as they attempt to give Mealamu's troublesome calves a rest. Mealamu has had a number of issues with his calves over his career and the break will hopefully provide a springboard for a longer, fitter 2015 campaign.
