Toulon and Leinster last met in the Heineken Champions Cup in the 2015/16 season, the French
side picking up a pair of pool stage victories including a 16-20 win at the Aviva Stadium.


The last time Leinster met RC Toulon in the knockout stage was the dramatic 2015 semi-final in Marseille when Toulon edged the verdict 25-20 after extra-time.

This weekend marks the first time in the history of tournament that a Round of 16 will be played as part of the knockout stage.

Six tournament winners - Exeter Chiefs, Leinster Rugby, Munster Rugby, RC Toulon, Toulouse and Wasps - with 16 Heineken Champions Cup titles between them have qualified for the knockout stage.
