France take a commanding 27-3 lead over Eng into halftime. France scored a try inside the opening two minutes and added a penalty shortly after to race into a 10-0 lead. 20 minutes later France crossed for try number two to make it 17-0. The sides then traded penalties before France ran in a third score with the final play of the half for an emphatic 24 point advantage at the break.
