Arg take a 19-10 lead over Aus into halftime. Arg struck first with a try just six minutes in, with Aus getting on the board with a penalty shortly after. Arg kicked two shots at goal in quick succession, but Aus hit back with their first try to trail 13-10. Arg added three points with a penalty midway through the half and another successful kick at goal with the final play of the half sees them hold a nine point advantage at the break.
