Steve McColl spent three seasons with Carnegie after joining them from local rivals Doncaster Knights. His form for Carnegie was good enough to earn him a call up to the Scotland Six Nations training squad despite playing outside of the top flight. In 2012-13 McColl was the Carnegie Players’ Player of the Season. He left Carnegie in 2014 only to re-join the club ahead of the 2016/17 Greene King IPA Championship season.
