Disciplinary: Iakopo Mapu (Northampton Saints)

The case of Iakopo Mapu, Northampton Saints, was heard by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Charles Cuthbert, sitting with Christian Scotland-Williamson and Inigo Churchill.

Mapu was shown a red card for reckless or dangerous play, which was amended to a dangerous tackle, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13, during a game against Ealing Trailfinders on Saturday 1st March.

Mapu received a three-match ban, which will be reduced to two if he successfully completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme (CIP).
