Ulster take a slender 7-3 lead over Munster into halftime. Ulster got off to a shocking start, picking up a yellow card from the opening kickoff. Munster however could not fully capitalize on their numerical advantage as they added just a single penalty for a 3-0 lead. Ulster crossed for the only try of the half seven minutes from the break to take a four point advantage into halftime.
