Sale Sharks take a 19-8 lead over Wasps into halftime. An early try apiece saw Sale up 7-5 after 13 minutes of play. Wasps edged ahead with a penalty, but a second Sale try followed to put the hosts in front 12-8. Wasps then missed a penalty midway through the half, with Sale running in try number three around the half hour mark for an 11 point advantage at the break.
