Impressive scrummaging performances in the U19 Championship lead to a call up to the Brisbane City squad for powerful tighthead Dane Zander.
Zander enjoyed a fine debut season for Brisbane in the Nation Rugby Championship and was rewarded by Brad Thorn with a call up to the Queensland Reds Super Rugby squad for the 2020 season.
In July 2021, he signed a new two-year deal with the Reds.
Prior to his 2022 season at the Reds, Zander made 18 appearances , including 10 games in 2021.
He took his appearances tally to 29 with 11 in 2022, where he made a total of 62 tackles and 7 carries.
