Originally from Wanganui, Talawadua was named in the Black Ferns 2015 squad for the International Super Series in Canada but didn’t take the field
She then joined the Black Ferns during the 2016 International Series as injury cover following on from a solid campaign with Waikato in the Farah Palmer Cup.
She made her Test debut from the bench against the Irish in Dublin and established herself as a squad member in 2017.
Talawadua has been named in the squad that will compete at the 2017 Women's World Cup, where she will look to increase her current 3 caps.
