Sean Tomes made his Premiership debut for Newcastle Falcons as a replacement against London Wasps during the 2007-08 season. Tomes made the switch to Newport Gwent Dragons in March 2009 and made three appearances for the Welsh outfit before joining Exeter Chiefs at the end of the 2008-09 campaign. Moving to Bedford Blues in 2010, Tomes moved back to his native North East during the summer of 2012.
