Sasa Tofilau, like so many Samoan born, emigrated to Auckland, New Zealand at a young age.
His rugby began to take shape in his teenage years at the Papatoetoe club. He moved to Melbourne University where his development continued.
His move to Europe was to Kirkcaldy Rugby Club where is huge presence on the field made as much of an impact as did his running. His strong sense of family helped hm settle quickly at the club. His performance caught the eye of the scouts at Edinburgh. Pending the paperwork Sasa will be running onto the field for Edinburgh in the 2016/17 season.
Sasa will join recently promoted Massy for the 2017-18 Pro D2 season.
After one season in the PROD2, Tofilau decided to return to New Zealand to join Hawke's Bay Magpies for the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup season.
