Samu Saqiwa has endured a rocky road to the top of Fijian sevens rugby. Having initially made his debut for the side in 2010, Saqiwa did not feature again for the side until 2012, due to a loss of form and fitness. Since 2012 however the Nadroga native has been ever present in a dominant Fijian side, to which he adds ballast up front as well as the ability to spot a gap and beat defenders with his rngy running style.
