Richard Lane, born on 21 July 1993, is an English professional rugby union player known for his versatility in playing at both wing and fullback positions. He currently represents Bristol Bears in Premiership Rugby, contributing to their success on the field.
Lane's professional rugby career began when he signed his first contract with Jersey Reds in the RFU Championship on 2 July 2015. After his time with Jersey Reds, Lane made a move to Bedford Blues, where he made a significant impact. In 2019, he was recognized by his peers and named the "Players' Player" of the year for the Bedford Blues.
Lane's impressive performances caught the attention of Bristol Bears, leading to his signing with the club in May 2022. Prior to officially joining Bristol Bears, Lane had a successful loan spell at Ashton Gate Stadium, where he showcased his skills and abilities in five appearances, including scoring a try.
