
Ralph McEachran joined Sales Sharks following London Irish’s entry into administration in
2023. The England U18 international, who has converted to loosehead from the backrow,
had joined the Exiles at 14 after starting his rugby journey at Guildford Rugby Club.
McEachran tasted success as part of the Exiles’ under-18 squad that lifted the 2022/23
Premiership Rugby Under-18 Academy League.
The prop progressed through the international pathway system, most recently playing in
all five U20 Six Nations fixtures in 2025.
McEachran made his Sale Sharks debut against Doncaster Knights in the Premiership
Rugby Cup and has spent time with Coventry Rugby on loan.
FUN FACTS: Ralph is studying Criminology alongside his rugby. His rugby idol is Sebastian
Chabal, and his favourite music genre is ‘house’. He isn’t the only professional athlete in
his family; his cousin Josh plays professional football.
