Glenn Panoho was born in New Zealand 1971 and moved to Australia at the age of 12 years. He played his senior schoolboy rugby at the prestigious Nudgee College in Brisbane from 1987 to 1989.
Glenn represented both Queensland and Australia at schoolboy, Under 19 and Under 21 levels before joining the Queensland Reds’ squad in 1990/91.
He was first chosen to represent the Wallabies off the bench in 1998 against the Springboks at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.
Glenn suffered a run of horrific knee injuries the first of which occurred in 1988 while at school. Throughout his long career, he underwent a total of 13 operations, seven on his left knee alone. He spent many an off-season undergoing surgery and was often seen during training and in games to be struggling or in pain from the chronic knee troubles he suffered.
Despite the injuries Panoho made he made 21 appearances for the Wallabies including matches against the British and Irish Lions and 2 World Cups between 1998-2003.
