Jacobson has been playing rugby since sixs years old.
He has been playing at representative level since he made his first representiative team aged 11. In 2011 played for the New Zealand Secondary Schools, New Zealand Condors 7s, and Chiefs U18 teams.
Jacobson broke into the North Harbour Mitre 10 Cup squad in 2016 and represented the side for two seasons before signing for Northland for the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup.
