Kieft is a Dutch international back-rower that made his debut for Haagsche Rugby Club, a rugby club from The Hague in the Netherlands.
He joined La Rochelle in 2010 at 18 years of age to the surprise of many and went on to study civil engineering.
Arriving at the club as a No. 8, he underwent a transition to flanker and signed his first professional contract with the club in February 2014, becoming the first Dutch player to do so.
The 2015-16 season was a breakthrough year for Zeno and he captained the side in the European Challenge Cup. He signed a three-year deal in November 2015.
Kieft played four times during the 2016-17 Top 14 and twice in Europe in the Champions Cup but saw regular game time during the 2017-18 campaign.
As of September 2020, he has made 107 appearances for the side and has scored 15 points.
He is contracted to La Rochelle until 2021.
