Christopher William Smith, born on 9 September 1994 in Cape Town, South Africa, is a talented South African rugby union player. Standing at a height of 1.81 meters (5 ft 11+1⁄2 in) and weighing 91 kg (201 lb; 14 st 5 lb), Smith possesses the agility and skill set to excel in the demanding role of fly-half.

Smith's rugby journey began during his school years at South African College Schools (SACS), a renowned rugby school in Cape Town. Following his time at SACS, he continued his education and rugby development at the University of Stellenbosch. Representing the university's rugby team in the prestigious Varsity Cup competition allowed Smith to showcase his talents on a higher stage.

Impressed by his performances in the Varsity Cup, the Pumas recruited Smith in 2018. During his time with the Pumas, he played a vital role in their triumph in the Rugby Challenge, featuring in ten of the eleven matches and ending the competition as the leading point-scorer with an impressive total of 131 points.

Smith's capabilities as a fly-half attracted the attention of the Bulls, who secured his services on loan in 2019. His performances during the loan period convinced the Bulls to make the move permanent, solidifying his place within their ranks for the United Rugby Championship.

With his agile play, astute decision-making, and ability to control the game from the fly-half position, Christopher Smith has established himself as a key figure for both the Bulls and the Blue Bulls.
