Guidi spent his entire playing career at Italian club Livorno, and was part of the team that won in Grenoble the 1995-97 FIRA Cup defeating the France for the first time in the history of Italian rugby international.
In 2006, he entered the Federal Academy coaching staff, becaming head coach of National A side 2 years later.
Following his short stay with the Italian under 20 set-up. In 2013, Guidi signed as coach-leader of Calvisano leading them to two consecutive league titles.
Guidi was then signed by Zebre as head coach in the Pro12 league in 2015.
Zebre have announced that they have parted company with head coach Gianluca Guidi.
Guidi has been with the Italian club for one-and-a-half seasons and leaves by mutual consent.
