Born in Corsica, Patrick Furet spent his youth in Tarabucceta before joining Nice for his first professional contract 3.
He then played successively in the clubs of USA Perpignan, RC Narbonne, Castres Olympique and Pau before retiring in 2008. He played for the France u21s and featured for French Barbarians 3 in May 2000 against Wales.
In 2019, he joined Castres Olympique as head coach with new manager Mauricio Reggiardo 10.
Since retiring he has worked as coach with the likes of CA Lannemezan, Stade Rodez and US Dax.
