Born in Galway, Heffernan is a exciting young talent who plays in the front row.
A Terenure College RFC player, Heffernan has also represented his country at u20 level and was part of the Irish side that reached the semi finals in the 2014 Junior World Cup.
In January 2016, the prop was selected on the bench for Leinster in their PRO 12 clash away to Newport Gwent Dragons.
