Warriors have announced the signing of Jersey Reds captain Scott van Breda on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old utility back, who predominantly plays at full-back but who can also play at fly-half, centre, full-back or wing, becomes Director of Rugby Alan Solomons’ sixth signing ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
“Scott is a versatile rugby player and a very good goal-kicker," said Solomons.
"It’s a great opportunity for him to test himself at the top level and I have no doubt he will be an asset to the side.”
Van Breda is an experienced kicker who racked up an impressive 405 points in 64 games for Eastern Province Kings between 2012 and 2015, before making the move to Western Province in 2016.
He landed 80 points in 15 appearances for the Cape Town outfit and made three appearances for the Stormers in Super Rugby.
Last year saw him make the move to the Northern Hemisphere to play for Jersey in the Championship where he has made ten appearances this season.
