Bristol Bears turned form on its head beating the current PWR champions, Gloucester-Hartpury at Kingsholm to move back into the semi-final spots.
Leicester Tigers won their first game of the season, Harlequins stayed second winning the west London derby against Trailfinders Women and Saracens leapt from fifth to third with a 11-point victory over Loughborough Lightning.
Here are some of the leading performers.
- Meg Jones (Leicester Tigers) scored as many tries as any other player at the weekend (two). She has scored three tries in three PWR appearances this season.
- Sarah Bern (Bristol Bears) made a round-high six dominant carries and 30 post-contact metres in Round 8. She was also the only player to make four offloads.
- Ellie Rugman (Gloucester-Hartpury) was the only player to make five clean breaks at the weekend; she also scored a try.
- Evie Gallagher (Bristol Bears) made three dominant tackles and won three turnovers in Round 8 - both the highest totals of the round.
- Grace White (Trailfinders Women) beat as many defenders as any other player at the weekend (eight) and scored a try.
- Babalwa Latsha (Harlequins) claimed Player of the Round from the bench this week, scoring a match rating of 8. Four of her five carries were dominant, she beat three defenders, and scored a try.
