Now a household name, Beauden Barrett now has two World Rugby Player of the Year Awards to go with his World Cup medal but back in 2012 he was just making a name for himself having played half a season of Super Rugby.
His form with the Hurricanes earned him a test call up with Ireland touring in New Zealand and at 21 years old he was named on the bench for the third test against the visitors.
New Zealand had the series sealed with a 42-12 and 22-19 victory over Ireland in the first two tests but the third and final provided to be extremely one-sided with Barrett coming off the bench for Aaron Cruden in the 23rd minute as the All Blacks romped to a 60-0 thrashing.
All Blacks' head coach Steve Hansen rang in the changes for the game with Sam Cane getting his first start for the side with Luke Romano making his test debut along with Barrett.
Barrett entered the game with the All Blacks leading comfortably 26-0. His first job was to punt to touch from a penalty and made his first tackle on Paddy Wallace.
He later slotted a touchline conversion and set up two tries while having a few wobbles.
